The sixth annual conference of the International Competition Network has become one of the first significant international events devoted to competition in Russia. About 500 participants took part in the conference, including directors and leading experts from competition agencies in 90 countries, Russian legislative and executive authorities, the European Commission and international organizations, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Trade Organization, the UN Conference for Trade and Development, the CIS Inter-Governmental Antimonopoly Council, the International Association of Lawyers, the European Association of Lawyers, and others. Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Fradkov, Commissioner of the European Commission for Competition Neelie Kroes, mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, Russian Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, Director of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Igor Artemyev, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin and many other outstanding personalities addressed the conference.
