The World Summit Awards-2007 contest involved more than 650 projects from 160 countries. A jury panel of experts evaluated the contestants' work on such criteria as quality and completeness of content, creativity, topicality and compliance with the tendencies of the industry.
The award ceremony of the World Summit Awards-2007 that would also include the presentation of the best content projects, will take place on November 6 and 7, 2007 in Venice. By tradition, the World Summit Awards will be presented by top business people, politicians and cultural personalities. The list of celebrities in the award ceremony in 2007 will include the President of Croatia Stipe Mesić and Federal Chancellor of Austria Alfred Gusenbauer.
The WSA (The World Summit Awards - the World`s Best E-contents) is an international contest of Web-content projects that was started in 2003 within the framework of the World Summit of the Information Society and is held every 2 years. The World Summit Awards is organized with the assistance of UN, UNESCO, UNIDO, Hewlett Packard and the World Organization of Internet.
The Charity in Russia Information Center is the first long-term national project in the history of Russia aimed at drawing broad public into the charity process. One of the elements of the project, Infoblago.ru information and analytical portal, is the first specialized Internet-based newspaper fully dedicated to charity. The project has been created using the resources of the Business League Communication Agency with the assistance of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Federal Agency for the Press and Mass Communication.
