THE "2006 - YEAR OF PHILANTHROPY IN RUSSIA" PROJECT
The Business League Communication Agency assisted in the nationwide organization of an initiative seeking to change Russian society’s views on philanthropy, “Year of Philanthropy”, established by Russia's largest philanthropic organizations: CAF, WWF Russia, the V. Potanin Fund, Dmitry Zimin's Dynasty Fund and the Lifeline program.
Project results:
The creation of www.infoblago.ru, Russia's first internet resource devoted entirely to philanthropic issues.

The organization and carrying-out of the First All-Russian Festival of Good Deeds
- 4 All-Russian competitions, more than 500 participants, 22 winners
The organization and management of the All-Russian Forum "Society, Philanthropy and National Projects. Relevant dialogues."
- An address by Russia’s first prime minister, D. Medvedev, who initiated work on Russia’s new endowment law
Information support and initiation of social and philanthropic events, carried out by the project's member organizations in Moscow and the Russian regions
- More than 50 events in Moscow and the Russian regions
Cooperation with journalists from the national and regional media, support of publications dedicated to the topic of philanthropy in the Russian media.
- More than 1,000 media materials published
Cooperation with philanthropic funds, societies and commercial organizations; the creation of a public-access database of benefactors, projects and organizations receiving and in need of donations
- More than 270 participants (philanthropic funds) in the project
The organization and carrying-out of a gala evening dedicated to the Day of People’s Unity on November 4, 2006 in the Great Kremlin Palace.
More than 3500 guests in attendance, an award ceremony for the winners of the four contests of the All-Russian Festival of Good Deeds, a benefit concert by Russian pop stars
